What's there to say? I grew up in a small town and went to a small private school in my small town. Graduated in a class of 3. Left and never looked back.
After finishing college in Florida (finishing = getting kicked out), I moved no less than 12 times and lived in 3 states:
A lot of entrepreneurs are going to say that they always rose to the top of every organization they were a part of. That's not my story.

By the time I was 30, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. I knew that I had been a part of several startups, small businesses and major corporations and along the way and had been fired no less than 4 times.

Who was that golfer that said that "the more I practice the luckier I get?" (it was Gary Player. Thanks Google). Here was the real world example: 2022 came around, COVID was, by all appearances mostly over, and idea came to Anne Marie (my wonderful wife) and myself at a bar in Kilkenny, Ireland on our one year anniversary. We needed to take our experiences from working in the senior living industry, and the relationships we had forged, and create Senior Resource Specialists.
SRS happened because I was able to take those years of working for others and thinking I could do it better - and actually try to do it better.
SRS continues to grow at a breakneck pace and it is both terrifying and humbling. The truth is that we don't get many chances in this life to both make a difference and living at the same time. As we continue to grow into new markets and bring on new partners, I can only hope that a lifetime of stubbornness can keep me fighting the good fight.

Howard Shultz said that, "Success is better when it's shared." We are working toward a way to make sure that everyone benefits from our work - our family, our employees and the world at large.
I'd like to get my pilot license at some point.
